Mapping the journey for Employability and Homelessness

Yesterday (Thursday 4th April) Homeless Action Scotland hosted a lively first meeting of its homelessness and employability steering group. The steering group has been put together to help shape a series of events that will engage with workers, managers and decision makers.

The group has been brought together from Homeless Action members who are experienced in working with vulnerable people in employability and homelessness services and who are enthusiastic about making positive changes.

Grounded in the Scottish Government’s Fair Start Scotland and No-One Left Behind strategies, this series of events will help craft a way forward that works for the most vulnerable people engaging with employability services.

Already the group has shown its determination that the series of events is to be more than just a run of the mill conference and will look to scrutinise the different kinds of employability journeys that their service users experience.
